Trade association UKinbound, VisitEngland and the Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP) have announced their support for the Five-Point Plan for tourism announced by the Prime Minister today (17 July) in Cornwall.

The Business Visits & Events Partnership (BVEP) is urging new ministers to implement the Government’s Events Strategy ‘without delay’.

VisitBritain is set to resume responsibility for international business events promotion as part of the recommendations emerging from the government’s Triennial Review of VisitBritian and VisitEngland.

The Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) has proposed forming a Business Visits & Events board, comprising industry representation with government departments and agencies.

Event industry leaders joined national tourism board VisitEngland last week, in supporting English Tourism Week 2015, from 14 to 22 March.
