LOCAL EARLS COURT DEMOLITION PLANS APPROVED
posted on: 2014-10-10 12:11:05
Earls Court’s demolition looms ever nearer after practicalities for its demolition were approved by the London boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea.

London’s biggest development project, Earls Court, could be under threat after local elections brought opponents of the scheme to power.

The Association of Event Organisers met with opposition parties from the London Assembly to try and call a halt on London Mayor Boris Johnson's upcoming decision on the Earls Court redevelopment.

The AEO has teamed up with UFI to ask Business Secretary Vince Cable to help instigate a public inquiry on the planned demolition of Earls Court Exhibition Centre.

The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC) has followed the decision by its neighbouring west London council to approve plans to redevelop the Earls Court and West Kensington Opportunity Area.

An ambitious six-stage masterplan for the regeneration of London’s Alexandra Palace has been released for public consultation.
