Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) has reported strong growth at the end of its 2012/13 financial year, with the total number of events held at the venue increasing by eight per cent to 611.

Exhibition organiser ITE Group has said revenues booked for the full year are eight per cent ahead on a like-for-like basis, despite more profitable shows running next year.

More than 600 petrolheads attended the inaugural Wheels 2013 event at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
