The summer edition of Grand Designs Live returned to Excel with the launch of National Self Build Week. EN spoke with event director Nathan Garnett.

Designed to identify new trends and concepts, it’s not hard to see why an eco-friendly rocking chair that can charge a phone was voted one of the 10 ‘Green Heroes’ at this year’s Grand Designs Live, organised by Media 10.

The Cake & Bake Show clearly has the right ingredients for success after claiming the Exhibition News Show Rising Star award at our ceremony at the Lancaster London hotel. We caught up with the show's director Luke Collings.

It was as easy as pie. Luke Collings’ wife  Kirsty was sitting at home watching The Great British Bake Off in August 2011.

Organisers UBM and Clarion Events are due to go head-to-head with new and old security shows next year. Is there a clash or are they targeting different visitors? EN investigates.

February this year saw the unexpected move of UBM’s Protection & Management Series to Excel, after 16 “successful” years at The NEC.

Alexandra Palace has long been an iconic feature of the London landscape but with a raft of new shows and regeneration plans in place, the venue is looking to make a bigger mark in the UK exhibition market.

Walking up the steep yet never imposing road to Alexandra Palace, you get a sense of the great strengths and challenges for this historic venue.

The London Book Fair hoped to turn a new chapter for the publishing industry. EN caught up with event director Jacks Thomas.

Reed Exhibitions’ London Book Fair (LBF) wants to be the essential hub for serious players in the global publishing industry, and this year, with their ‘Love Learning’ programme, the organiser didn’t disappoint.

The BNC Global Event Show alternates its London venues between a City event venue and a ship. EN investigates how the show is casting its net for event visitors.

It’s not often that a show organiser credits a move to dry land as a sign of growth in his new show. But for the BNC Global Event Show held at The Brewery in London, visiting landlubbers were a sign that the show has really begun to set sail into more affluent waters.
