Haymarket Exhibitions is extending the length of its second annual Dance Show Live from three to six days.
Dance Show Live was launched last year and runs alongside Haymarket’s Clothes Show Live at The NEC in Birmingham from 2 to 7 December. Key features include a central dance and music stage, freestyle stage, workshops and masterclasses with choreographers and dance teachers, and West End bootcamps.
Show director Craig Hanratty told EN the extended dates would give exhibitors a broader audience reach and allow them to tap into Clothes Show Live’s 50,000 student visitors, which attend over the first three days.
Another significant factor was the need to spread the Dance Show’s expanded classes programme across more days, he said.
“We have a number of studios at the event running classes and what we found last year was that schedules were back-to-back and busy over three days,” Hanratty explained. “We wanted to extend that programme and can now offer a more diverse class list stretched over more days.”
Hanratty highlighted its fitness classes as an addition this year as well as a host of new sponsors including Xbox.
Haymarket has also announced a revamped celebrity line-up at this year’s Clothes Show live including international model Max Rogers, noted British dresser and TV presenter George Lamb, celebrity make-up artist Rachel Wood and celebrity hairdresser Jamie Stevens. Clothes Show Live is sponsored by Suzuki.
