The National Caravan Council (NCC) claims the location of its new London caravan exhibition opens up opportunities to attract a broader visitor base from England’s South and South East.
“Millions of people live in this [South and South East] area and research shows they do not normally travel to the NEC shows,” NCC Events CEO John Lally said in a statement. “By adding this new show, NCC Events now has a plan to plug this gap and make it possible for the whole country to be served by shows which will display the latest models from all the UK’s major manufacturers.”
According to NCC Events, exhibitors have reserved 67 per cent of the 60,000sqm floor plan so far. The association will establish a campsite at the venue during the event, subsidise parking costs, provide free shuttle buses and work with rail and coach companies to create customised packages for visitors to the event.
NCC Events MD Gary Barbe said tickets will start from £4.50. NCC will also provide VIP packages and discounts on theatre tickets, London attractions and hotels for those looking to extend their ‘London experience’, he added.
Harrogate’s Pets and Aquatics Trade Show (PATS) is looking to widen its visitor profile ahead of its show at the Harrogate International Centre on 15-16 September.
