The Stitch and Creative Crafts Show will relocate from Manchester Central to the rival EventCity exhibition space in Trafford Park this year.
The annual Trident Exhibition event takes place from 1 to 3 September 2011. Trident said the new venue’s close proximity to the M60 and Manchester city centre, coupled with the significant visitor footfall at the Trafford Park retail centre, were key factors behind its decision to move.
Visitors to the show will also be able to access a free shuttle bus to EventCity from Manchester’s Metrolink and 1,500 dedicated free car spaces.
“This move is not a decision we have taken lightly,” show manager Marlene Carr said in a statement posted to its website. “We will be running complimentary shuttle buses from the centre of Manchester as well as reaching a wider audience across the North West, who can include a visit to the Creative Crafts Show as part of their shopping day out.”
EventCity sales manager Sarah Mills said it was pleased to have Trident on-board and confirmed the pair are discussing February 2012 dates.
