The Scottish Skipper Expo has confirmed it will return for a second edition next year at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC).
Although exact dates have not been confirmed, the organiser told EN the show, organised by Republic of Ireland-based Mara Media, will take place in June 2012.
“We built up a base in Ireland and a lot of people from UK companies used to come to our show in Galway,” Mara Media MD Hugh Bonner told EN. “We got to know them and through our magazine The Skipper we got a broader picture of the international fishing scene.”
The inaugural edition brought 100 exhibitors and around 2,500 visitors, unaudited.
“We’re looking at making it larger and more international next year. We want to grow it but we have to establish the show first,” said Bonner.
Contractor Freeman UK and project management firm Mayridge will be part of a forum later this month to discuss the growing roll of creativity in the export of UK events.
Manchester’s EventCity has installed a bespoke Changing Places toilet at the venue providing an easier ‘gold standard’ facility for disabled people and carers to use.
