New dates and events for East of England Show
posted on: 26/7/2011 08:45:46
East of England Show

The East of England Show will take place on new dates next year and incorporate the Just Dogs Live and Championship Dog Shows as part of its core offering.

Organised by the East of England Agricultural Society (EEAS) and running at the East of England Showground in Peterborough, the show will be held from 6 to 8 July in 2012 and 5-7 July in 2013, three weeks later than its usual slot. The new dates will also include with the Just Dogs event, which will now be incorporated into the East of England Show.

“The Society has decided that holding our successful weekend show format in early July for 2012 onwards will create a more appropriate date in the diary for the agricultural community in general, our members and specifically to avoid the schools exam period,” said EEAS chairman Andrew Sharpley. “Farmers and families are at the heart of our charitable, agricultural and educational objectives.”

The Championship Dog Show was held in conjunction with the East of England Show up until 1999. In recent years, it has been co-located with the Just Dogs Live event, which most recently took place from 8 to 10 July.

The Royal Norfolk Agriculture Association recently revealed sketches for a new exhibition space at Norfolk Showground.
