Emap’s Naidex South will run alongside the 2011 GLA (Greater London Authority) Disability Capital Conference.
Taking place on 20 October in Excel London’s Platinum Suite, the conference is part of the Mayor of London’s initiative to promote equality for disabled and deaf Londoners and give them a chance to engage with his policies.
“Alongside our repeated association with Primary Care Live, this means that the show will be bigger and better than ever before,” said event director Liz Virgo. “It is great that so many fantastic organisations will be together under one roof.”
Virgo previously stated that the upcoming edition of Naidex South will take inspiration from the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Naidex South will run on 19 and 20 October at Excel London and will also co-locate with Primary Care Live, which brought 1,300 GPs, healthcare professionals and community nurses to the show in 2010.
Contractor Freeman UK and project management firm Mayridge will be part of a forum later this month to discuss the growing roll of creativity in the export of UK events.
Manchester’s EventCity has installed a bespoke Changing Places toilet at the venue providing an easier ‘gold standard’ facility for disabled people and carers to use.
Exhibition organiser ITE Group has said revenues booked for the full year are eight per cent ahead on a like-for-like basis, despite more profitable shows running next year.
