Emap Connect adds Videobuilder to show sites

Emap Connect has added Video Direct’s cloud technology, to eleven of its event sites.

Videobuilder TV players will be added to sites such as Spring Fair and Glee. 

The platform is used to help global exhibition organisers and publishers create revenue from video.

In August, Emap said it will invest more than £1.2m into promotion of its Spring Fair International 2012 show to be held at the NEC in Birmingham next February.

“Videobuilder enables our customers to generate more sales leads and us to add value to our event websites, create revenue and improve SEO while doing so,” said Emap Connect’s Digital commercial director Iain Nicol.

“Exhibitors with or without video can benefit, while website visitors get a more visually engaging preview of the vast range of exciting products and services on offer at our shows.”

Exhibitors without video can use Videobuilder’s video production feature to create one from existing photography. Completed videos will be added to the event TV player as well as their exhibitor profile.

Exhibitor’s brochures, email addresses, Google Map locations and websites can also be added to supplement content.

“We’re really delighted Emap has given Videobuilder such a vote of confidence so soon after it’s launch.” said Video Direct managing director Richard Counsell.
“Planned new features, such as the ability for organisers to conduct video email marketing campaigns and collect data from viewers will make it event more compelling.”
