business start up

The debut of the Great British Business Show alongside the 12-year-old Business Startup exhibition has helped Prysm Group attract more than 25,000 visitors this year.

According to the organiser, 18,000 visitors attended its biannual Business Startup show from 17 to 18 November, up 19 per cent year-on-year. The event was held at Earls Court and incorporates an exhibition plus a series of talks from business celebrities and entrepreneurs on how to start a successful business.

In addition, more than 7,000 people attended Prysm Group’s first Great British Business Show based on registration data, bringing total attendance to 25,300 (unaudited). The two shows featured 350 exhibitors.

Prsym Group marketing and communications manager Tom Borthen attributed the visitor rise to the organiser’s ability to reach a wider audience through the new event. He also highlighted its packed out seminar sessions featuring presentations from successful entrepreneurs such as David Gold, Will King and James Caan.

“We are delighted so many people visited the show and we’d like to thank everyone who contributed to making it such a success… most of all to our fantastic visitors who came in their droves, with an overwhelming desire to network, find suppliers, learn from the experts and take their businesses or business plans to the next level,” Prysm Group MD Nick Moss added.

The two co-located shows will return from 16 to 17 May 2012 at Excel London.
