Updated: More staff changes announced at UBM

UBM Live has reshuffled its exhibition portfolio team following the merger of its UK businesses, UBM International and UBM Live.
 
Portfolio director Simon Mills will now head up UBM Live’s Security and Firex portfolio including its flagship security supply trade show IFSEC. The division was previously run by James Blue, who moved over to the EcoBuild franchise following UBM’s acquisition of that exhibition in July.
 
Mills also retains his position across the Customer Management portfolio in the UK including Call Centre Expo. His Marketing and E Commerce portfolio responsibilities now pass to International Confex portfolio director Jonny Sullens (pictured), who will run the divisions alongside the Confex and Leisure Industry Week portfolios.
 
"As well as retaining the UK Call Centre portfolio, I am very excited about the opportunity to work on UBM’s flagship Security and Firex portfolios, but of course I leave the Marketing and E Commerce portfolio with a heavy heart having worked on it and built it up over so many years,” Mills told EN.
 
In his newly expanded role, Sullens will have jurisdiction over Internet World along with Technology for Marketing and Advertising (TFMA) and its affiliate events, Publishing Expo and E Commerce Expo.

“I am delighted to be taking on such an exciting portfolio of products,” Sullens said. “Simon and his team have established strong brands in fast-paced markets and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”


Across the rest of UBM Live’s businesses, Paula Milburn will retain the Air Traffic Control portfolio globally, while Adrian Newton will look after the Service Management portfolio.

EN understands the marketing team has also had a reshuffle, with Jo Mayer promoted into Jane Risby-Rose's Global Events division. Head of marketing Claire Puddifoot has now been appointed group marketing director for UBM Live.


The changes coincide with the appointment of group director Simon Parker as the first MD of the newly merged UBM Live UK. The organiser is continuing negotiations with group director Mark Snell about opportunities for him at UBM Live following the restructure.
