Events and business information group Centaur expects steady growth, from a half-year trading update released today.

In a summary of business for the six months to 31 December 2011, chief executive Geoff Wilmot said he anticipates trading in line with expectations for the current financial year.

"We remain encouraged by what has been a good first half. While the economic outlook is challenging, we see strong potential across each of the business publishing, business information and exhibitions divisions and there remains a strong pipeline of potential acquisitions,” he said.

The group expects to release its half yearly earnings report on 23 February 2012.

Centaur recently bought the Event and Exhibiting Show from F2F Events to fit in to its marketing group of shows.
