Attendees to this year’s Event Production Show have an estimated £2bn in buying power and organise 30 or more events annually, the organiser claims.
The Event Production Show opens at Olympia’s West Hall today and will be supported by nearly 250 exhibitors including 90 first-timers, organiser Ocean Media said.
Key features at this year’s trade show include the debut Venue UK Show, which features 40 exhibitors, as well as an expanded Access All Areas sessions programme, Igloo Technology Theatre and the first Event Production Awards.
“The timing of the show in the trade show calendar and the significance of 2012 to the UK event industry have combined with the quality of exhibitors and buyers to give us all the ingredients for our biggest and best show to date,” event manager Sarah Brownlee said.
The Event Production and UK Venue Shows run until 2 February at Olympia.
UBM Live is working with London & Partners to create London Technology Week – an annual event to highlight the city’s role as a major technology centre.
London-based event industry exhibition, Square Meal's Venues & Events Live, is to extend the open hours of the first day of its show in response, the organiser says, to calls from the industry.
