Imago Techmedia has claimed this year’s Unified Communications (UC) Expo was its most successful to date, attracting 3,212 visitors (unaudited).
The two-day show was held at Olympia from 6 to 7 March and focused on the latest digital communication technologies including voice, cloud, mobile, social business,visual and unified solutions.
According to Imago, a major highlight was the launch of Social Speak, which allowed visitors to influence seminar content in the lead-up to the show using social media tools. Speakers included IBM social media chief Luis Suarez, Olympic champion kayaker Tim Brabants MBE and Cisco’s chief technology officer UK and Ireland, Ian Foddering.
Product launches were also order of the day including new offerings from AVST and Powernet and a hands-on demo of Microsoft’s Lync.
“This year's Unified Communications Expo has been our most successful so far, featuring the most comprehensive coverage of all of the Leaders, Challengers and Visionaries in the Gartner UC Magic Quadrant such as Cisco, Microsoft, ShoreTel and Mitel,” Imago MD Hugh Keeble said. “We are also excited to be welcoming global brands like IBM, ATT and Nokia for the first time.”
