Expanded AEO Excellence Awards call for nominations

The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) is calling on organisers, suppliers and venues to nominate in this year’s Excellence Awards.
 
This year’s AEO Awards will be held at
The Artillery Gardens at the HAC (Honourable Artillery Company) on 6 July 2012. Nominations are now open for 17 categories including three new awards: Innovation Award, Sustainability Award and Best Use of Social Media.
 
The list of categories for 2012 are:

  • Best Trade Launch Show
  • Best Consumer Launch Show
  • Best Tradeshow Exhibition – Over NET 2,000sqm
  • Best Tradeshow Exhibition – Under NET 2,000sqm
  • Best Consumer Exhibition
  • Best Live Event
  • Marketing Campaign of the Year
  • Organiser team of the Year
  • Venue of the Year
  • Venue Team of the Year
  • Service Supplier of the Year
  • Stand Design and Build Supplier of the Year
  • Production Design of the Year
  • Unsung Hero
  • Innovation Award
  • Sustainability Award
  • Best Use of Social Media

Nominations close on 27 April and the qualifying period for entries is 26 April 2011 to 26 April 2012.
 
The AEO will also again present The Excellence Award and Outstanding Contribution to the Industry to leading industry luminaries this year. The full list of 2011 winners is available here.
 
“Winning an award or just being shortlisted enhances both personal and corporate reputations and there’s no better way to raise your company’s profile than being acknowledged as an award-winning organisation,” AEO CEO Karim Halwagi said.
 
“I would like to encourage companies to reflect on their successes and submit their entries.”
