The organiser of the Eurogamer Expo is launching a new PC and indie consumer games show in Brighton this July.

Rezzed: The PC and Indie Games Show will be held at the Brighton Centre from 6 to 7 July and hopes to attract 5,000 gaming enthusiasts. The event will give visitors the opportunity to trial new and upcoming PC and indie games as well as attend a series of developer sessions.

Other features include a classic games tournament, board game area, tutorials and vendor area to purchase related equipment and games.

“Following last year’s successful fourth Eurogamer Expo, we’re broadening our horizons for 2012 by introducing a new summer event to highlight the best of PC and indie games,” Eurogamer Network MD Rupert Loman said.

“PC and indie games are enjoying huge success now after years in the ascendancy and we want to draw more attention to that fact and give people the opportunity to get up close to the biggest names and games before they’re released.”

Eurogamer Expo, which next takes place at Earls Court in September, has confirmed Virgin Media as its 2012 headline sponsor.
