The internal fit out of EICC’s new Lennox Suite and the associated grade A office development will now accelerate towards completion in spring 2013.
The EICC expansion space is part of an £85m city centre development that includes almost 18,500sqm of Grade A office accommodation that is already 25 per cent let.
Taking part in the topping out ceremony EICC CEO, HansH Rissmann, OBE, said: “We have witnessed the last brick in the wall and the roof is now on which means planning for our opening events can begin in earnest.
“Our construction partners have done a magnificent job and the prospect of welcoming our first customers to the much enlarged EICC is incredibly exciting.”
Hard hat tours for prospective customers of the expanded EICC’s can be arranged by contacting Head of Sales and Marketing Louise Andrew or any member of the sales team.
EICC is wholly owned by The City of Edinburgh Council and claims to have delivered an economic benefit to the city from opening of more than £320m and will welcome its one-millionth delegate this year.
