The show, billed as the UK’s largest annual trade exhibition for the fish frying and fast food industry, is moving into the 4,000sqm Jaguar Hall One for its 2012 edition on 16 September.
The exhibition, now in its 15th year and its fourth at the Ricoh, will have over 80 stands showcasing food,equipment and services. These include fish and chip shops, mobile caterers, sports stadia and ice cream parlours.
Exhibitors will be travelling to the Ricoh Arena from across the UK as well as Denmark and Holland for the free event.
“The Ricoh is great for growing events because of its flexibility,” said Serena Bracken from the show’s organiser Pybus Events. “We started off quite small in our first year but we are getting bigger and bigger and the Ricoh has the facilities to be able to accommodate our growing needs,” she said.
“We had around 800 visitors in 2011 and this year we already have over 1,000 pre-registered visitors so we are confident of achieving our highest ever visitor numbers. We have arranged to take more space in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall because we have already sold 50 stands and it means we can grow even further if necessary.”
Paul Dowling, event manager at the Ricoh Arena, said the fact that three exhibitors were travelling over from Denmark and Holland emphasised the show’s success.
“The show appeals to a wide number of people involved in the fast food industry and our central location means we are easy to reach for the vast majority of people exhibiting and visiting the show,” he said.
The Ricoh recently appointed Will Aylott as head of sales to drive events business.
