CloserStill Media has claimed a 105 per cent rebooking rate at its first Clinical Pharmacy Congress at Excel London last month.
The inaugural event, focused on clinical pharmacists in secondary and primary care, featured 75 exhibitors encompassing suppliers and manufacturers of specialist pharmacy products, medicines, services, technology and solutions.
Alongside the trade exhibition, Clinical Pharmacy Congress offered a five-stream conference programme delivering 6,034 hours of CPD training to the event’s 1,272 delegates. On the speakers’ list were more than 50 representatives from the industry covering 48 plenary and workshop sessions. These represented 38 hours of free CPD accredited training per visitor.
The Clinical Pharmacy Congress was held from 20 to 21 April at Excel and is set to return to the east London venue from 26 to 27 April 2013.
CloserStill Media’s congress director Chris Down said a major focus was on helping National Health Service (NHS) trust and private hospital pharmacists to improve standards and share best practices in the face of deepening health sector cuts.
“The Clinical Pharmacy Congress is a welcome addition to the industry calendar. It has filled a niche in the market providing a vital platform to foster greater understanding and a sharing of ideas between clinical pharmacists and the industry, which will ultimately result in the benefit of patients everywhere,” Down claimed.
