The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) has struck an exclusive affiliation with the Professional Publishers Association (PPA).
According to the industry groups, the agreement will allow for a host of cross-association benefits including joint events and initiatives, along with the sharing of relevant research and insight. Member companies will also be entitled to discounted rates at affiliate events.
“There is a great level of symbiosis between publishing and event organisation, and for this reason it is our wish to greatly enhance the value that we provide to our respective members,” the AEO's CEO Karim Halwagi (pictured) said.
The PPA’s CEO Barry McIlheney added his delight at the new partnership. The PPA’s membership includes 200 publishing companies producing about 2,500 consumer and business magazines, journals, digital media, data products and events.
“The link between business publishers and the events sector is already well-established, but through this agreement we can help members further develop their businesses in this increasingly key area,” McIlheney said.
