The final visitor figure was 3,244, up from 3,191 visitors (unaudited) in 2011. There were 83 exhibitors at the event this year, which ran on 16 and 17 May. This was below the organiser Screen Events’ predictions for Screenmedia Expo of a 25 per cent visitor rise.
Speakers included airport advertiser JCDecaux’s managing director Steve Cox. His presentation focused on the global response to digital screens and interactivity in airports from a passenger perspective and consumer responses to various interactive technologies.
“We are happy with the complement of this year’s show and also the quality and number of visitors that came through the doors,” said show director Mark Pigou. “The most important factors are that the exhibitors showcased the best the industry has to offer, which they do, and that those visitors are coming to buy.”
