Reed Exhibitions has reported an eight per cent visitor rise at its first All-Energy exhibition and conference at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC).

The event attracted 8,322 attendees, along with 580 exhibitors from 19 countries, covering a total 7,000sqm. A major highlight was the show’s seminar programme, which featured 300 speakers including Aberdeen’s new lord provost George Adam, the first minister of Scotland Alex Salmond, several other government ministers and high-profile brands like ITM Power, Gamesa and The Crown Estate.

This year’s All-Energy was the first organised by Reed after it purchased the exhibition from Media Generation Events last July.

Reed introduced three new zones to its first All-Energy event covering offshore wind versus oil and gas; smart energy, addressing energy efficiency and smart management; and low-carbon vehicles.

Other features this year included sector-specific visitor trails, free one-to-one meetings with UK Trade Investment market specialists, and the UK offshore wind supply chain event organised by The Crown Estate.

“Showcasing the complete range of renewable and sustainable technologies and with a world-class multi-stream conference alongside, All-Energy 2012 once again provided the ideal opportunity for seeing, and hearing about, the latest cutting-edge solutions,” Reed event director Jonathan Heastie said. “This key annual event in the renewables calendar provides a meeting place for the men and women behind these solutions, and acts as a catalyst for those eager to source new partners and suppliers.

“Our major exhibition, conference and seminar programmes, associated meetings, and unparalleled networking opportunities, including the Giant Networking Evening attended by over a thousand people, all play invaluable roles.”

Heastie said more than 1,000sqm for the 2013 edition was reserved onsite by existing exhibitors.
