UBM has said its eCommerce Expo show has had 98 per cent growth in the last two years, after gaining visitors from its Technology For Marketing and Advertising Manchester (TFM&A) show launch.
The one-day event attracted 1,649 marketing, ecommerce and business professionals, and 50 exhibitors, alongside attending free educational content from thought-leaders including Microsoft, Capgemini, IMRG and IBM.
This was a visitor increase of 20 per cent from 2011.
UBM acquired the eCommerce expo in Manchester and London from IMP Events in 2010, and launched TFM&A Manchester in 2011.
Already 66 per cent of stand space has been booked for the 2013 event. Event manager Rebecca Slater said the entire team was satisfied with the 2012 results.
“Following the significant growth of 2011, we looked to continue that expansion, aiming at a 15 per cent increase in visitor numbers,” she said.
“We were pleased and proud to attract over our target figure with a final total of 1,646 attendees. Our exhibitors were very happy with the event and the atmosphere on the show floor and in the education theatres firmly marked us on the map as the event to attend in the North of England for the latest innovations and trends.”
The next show will take place on 15 May 2013 at Manchester Central.
Harrogate’s Pets and Aquatics Trade Show (PATS) is looking to widen its visitor profile ahead of its show at the Harrogate International Centre on 15-16 September.
