Sustainability Live plans new-look as Faversham rebrands

Faversham has launched a fresh format for its next edition of its Sustainability Live exhibition as it expands the energy, water, land and sustainable business show’s remit.

From 2013, the trade show will feature three brands, each in their own hall: National Energy Management Exhibition (NEMEX), International Water and Effluent Exhibition (IWEX), and the new Energy from Waste Expo (EfW). The trio will run at The NEC from 16 to 18 April 2013.

The new format and branding was announced as event director Donna Bushell reported a 37 per cent increase in onsite stand rebookings atthis year’s edition of Sustainability Live at The NEC from 22 to 24 May.

More than 300 exhibitors participated in this year’s event, which incorporated NEMEX (pictured), IWEX, Brownfield Expo and Sustainable Business – The Event. Sustainability Live is also co-located with HEVAR, which focuses on the national heating and ventilating industry.

Overall, 7,343 visitors attended (pending audit), 5,000 of which registered for NEMEX, up 12 per cent year-on-year. According to ABC figures, last year’s edition attracted 9,000 total attendees and 7,259 visitors.

“Once again, Sustainability Live and especially NEMEX and IWEX, demonstrated its relevance to attendees and resilience to wide economic factors a the must-attend shows to keep up-to-date with innovation and industry issues, as well as the place to do business,” Bushell said.

“The feedback we have had has been extremely encouraging, with many exhibitors commenting on the high quality of visitors attending over the three days.”

This year’s line-up featured six conference theatres, which counted towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditations. Faversham reported more than 1,200 visitors attended its energy seminars and conference.

The programme included 130 industry speakers, ranging from government ministers such as Labour special envoy on climate change and environment, Barry Gardiner MP, to environmentalist Tony Juniper.

As well as its show renovations, Faversham House has undertaken a rebranding campaign. The company has dropped ‘Group’ from its name and created a new company logo which it claims highlights its three core objectives: To be ambitious, to be creative and to care.

The organiser announced its new look after moving from South Croydon into purpose-designed offices in East Grinstead, West Sussex on 6 June.
