Marwood launches Roofex

Roofex

Organiser Marwood Events has launched a new event for the roofing sector following demand from the industry.

Roofex will be held at the Ricoh Arena on 1 and 2 May 2013, and aims to have about 100 exhibitors. Features include a CPD theatre, training workshops and free demonstrations.

Event director Steven Callaghan told EN the trade exhibition follows on from the success of the organiser’s annual Concrete Show, which will move into The NEC in 2013.

The Concrete Show claimed about 3,500 visitors last year.

“In contrast to big shows like Ecobuild, which aren’t necessarily relevant, we think everyone at Roofex will be relevant to our visitors,” said Callaghan.

“As with the concrete industry in 2011, we see the UK roofing sector as being badly in need of their own specialist event and we believe that Roofex can go on to achieve the same levels that we have hit with the UK Concrete Show that has moved to the NEC Birmingham for 2013 after two very successful years at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry."
