The build-up to the first Live Production Network and PALME Europe show began yesterday at The O2 Arena ahead of the April 2013 event.
The inaugural show will be for concert, touring and event production managers, venues, promoters, manufacturers of live and touring products, event services companies, experiential agencies and agents.
Exhibition space will feature both indoor and outdoor areas, production showcase opportunities for exhibitors and visitors, stage set-ups, innovation zones and three conference areas with education sessions.
Entry will be free for live production professionals. The focus will be on creating high level networking opportunities, hosted buyer meets and hospitality environments for exhibitors.
John Hill has been named as event director of Live Production Network and Palme Europe.
“We are looking for the industry’s knowledge and experience to help shape the seminar and conference programme,” he said.
The event is being organised by Informa and is dedicated to the live production industry.
“AEG is pleased to welcome Informa and Live Production Network to London and The O2 Arena,” said The O2’s assistant general manager Sally Davies.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to share ideas with other professionals as well as hosting our own events in conjunction with Live Production Network/PALME Europe and their partners.”
Exhibition organiser ITE Group has said revenues booked for the full year are eight per cent ahead on a like-for-like basis, despite more profitable shows running next year.
