Tarsus Group chairman Neville Buch led the list of winners from this year’s Association of Event Organisers (AEO) Awards on 6 July.
 
The former Blenheim executive chairman, who joined Tarsus as part of its launch in 1998, was honoured for his contribution to the exhibition industry and, in particular, his international achievements, win the Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award.
 
The AEO claimed this year’s Excellence Awards at the Artillery Gardens at the HAC in London attracted 1,000 representatives from the industry. The event was hosted by British actor and comedian Stephen Mangan.

"Under the economic pressures that we have and continue to endure, the AEO Excellence Awards were a great reflection of the strength, creativity, dynamism and resilience of our industry," AEO chief executive Karim Halwagi said. "The integrity of our judging was reflected by the fantastic array of winners and the support of our industry was once again demonstrated by another sell-out audience with over 1,000 in the room.”
