The organiser of drinks industry show Imbibe Live has claimed a six per cent boost in visitor numbers.
The show on 3-4 July had an attendance of 7,653 (pending ABC audit). Last year’s event at Earls Court Two had an ABC audited total attendance of 7,082, representing a 64 per cent increase on 2010 figures.
More than 150 exhibitors were at this year’s show, which featured a Bartenders versus Sommeliers competition and a Training Zone, in association with Shaker BarSchools and the Academy of Food and Wine Service (AFWS).
“Imbibe Live 2012 was an unmitigated success,” claimed Imbibe Live show director Hannah Tovey. “It is clear our hard work in carefully monitoring the thousands of registrations paid off and we attracted a quality audience who were, according to exhibitors, asking the right questions.
“I'm delighted to hear some seriously big deals were done on both days, and the fact that our most educational seminars were brimming over with note-takers speaks volumes.”
Harrogate’s Pets and Aquatics Trade Show (PATS) is looking to widen its visitor profile ahead of its show at the Harrogate International Centre on 15-16 September.
