Trident Exhibitions will host its first Creative Crafts Show in Leeds at the Royal Armouries’ Saviles Hall this year.

The 20-year old brand will debut in Leeds from 18 to 20 October and is expected to attract 8,000 visitors. The organiser also runs the consumer exhibition in Esher, Essex, Shepton Mallett, Belfast, Malvern and Manchester.

“We are delighted to be bringing our Creative Crafts Show to Leeds for the first time and the accessible location and excellent road, rail and air links make us very confident of a good turnout,” Trident Exhibitions MD Helen Thewlis said.

The organiser worked with convention bureau Conference Leeds throughout the planning stages as well as on parking around the venue, hotel packages and partner programmes.

“Our team has an unrivalled knowledge of the city, its venues and services, so we were delighted to take a large amount of responsibility from the Trident exhibition organisers in managing venue requirements, transport and post-event options,” Conference Leeds manager Nicola Lockwood said.

“We’re confident the Creative Crafts Show will be a success in Leeds and we hope to welcome more exhibitions to the region from the Trident group in the very near future.”

Show manager Marlene Carr said the organiser is now working on a range of new content and activities for the Leeds edition.

In the meantime, its longstanding Manchester show on 30 August and 1 September has announced several new features including the first Stitch and Paper Ideas Exchange workshops and displays, silk craft demonstrations and classes, beads workshops and an area for local knitters.

Trident held its Manchester Stitch and Creative Crafts Show at EventCity last September and returns to Manchester Central this year.
