The Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) has revealed The Scottish Home Show’s debut exhibition will have to expand its planned hall space due to demand.
The exhibition takes place at AECC on 1 and 2 September. It was originally due to take place in Boyd Orr, the venue’s second largest hall at 1,496sqm, which then extended to the two adjoining multi-purpose suites - the Crombie Suite [471sqm] and Gordon Suite [559sqm].
However, following demand from local and national businesses, the show has now been moved into AECC's largest hall The Arena, which has 7,320sqm.
“We are delighted at the levels of interest displayed by exhibitors, the show is shaping up to be even better than first anticipated, with lots of exhibitors showcasing a wide range of products, we are certain there will be something for everyone,” said Scottish Home Show director Darren Ross.
Exhibition organiser ITE Group has said revenues booked for the full year are eight per cent ahead on a like-for-like basis, despite more profitable shows running next year.
The Scottish Festivals and Events Association (SEFA), a new trade organisation, representing the interests of the nation's events and festivals industry, launched officially on 16 May.
