Event organiser Reed Exhibitions claims more than 580 exhibitors will feature at this year’s International Jewellery London (IJL) event.

The show runs from 2-5 September at Earls Court, and is set to feature about 130 new exhibtiors. It will include a new exhibition showcasing the unique heritage of platinum.

“The show is already seen as an essential buying event in the calendar for top retailers and buyers, across London, the UK and internationally,” claimed event director Sam Willoughby.

“Amazing designers and brands choose IJL as the time to launch their new collections and it provides an optimum opportunity to source with the busy Christmas period approaching, but also with 2013 in mind.”

There will also be a new watch trail around the exhibition highlighting watch brands, as well as jewellery companies with watch lines.

Internationally, the Netherlands will be represented for the first time with the Dutch Design Pavilion, showcasing high quality unique handmade gold and silver jewellery.

IJL visitor numbers stayed level at last year’s show.
