SO Group claims to have created one of the largest integrated, live event providers in Europe with the acquisition of 360 Creative Event Services.
The deal is the latest in a string of mergers and acquisitions by the exhibition and event supplier and sees its portfolio expand to include AV, technical, floral and creative services.
As a result of the 360 Creative Event Services purchase, SO Group CEO Steve Barratt will become president, and 360’s David Walley the group CEO of SO Group. In addition, 360 Creative Event Services will keep its name and David Harding will continue as CEO.
“360 is the perfect fit for SO Group,” said Barratt. “This builds exactly on the vision outlined at the launch of SO Group 18 months ago. 360’s expertise and client base are complementary to SO Group’s and the company shares our values of quality service, design and creativity.”
Walley said that ambitious plans helped create 360. “This deal is the culmination of those plans and SO Group is the natural home for 360,” he said.
“I am looking forward to my new role; these are exciting times. SO Group is committed to delivering the best services and having the best people. Wewill continue to explore new markets and opportunities.”
