International entertainment and installation technology show Plasa is moving to Excel London after more than two decades at Earls Court and Olympia.
The show will have a final farewell at Earls Court from 9 to 12 September before moving across town for the 2013 show next October.
"After 21 years, the time is now right for the Plasa Show to leave its current home,” said Plasa CEO Matthew Griffiths.
“We have hugely ambitious plans for the future of the event and the facilities at Excel support this vision.”
Plasa is widening its seminar programme for this year’s event. The 80 free-to-attend sessions will be divided into 10 categories including emerging technologies, future trends and sustainability.
The event is expecting 300 exhibitors and more than 13,000 visitors over the four days, of which about 30 per cent will be international.
Contractor Freeman UK and project management firm Mayridge will be part of a forum later this month to discuss the growing roll of creativity in the export of UK events.
Manchester’s EventCity has installed a bespoke Changing Places toilet at the venue providing an easier ‘gold standard’ facility for disabled people and carers to use.
