The organiser of the 100% Design show is increasing the number of exhibitors ahead of this year’s event.
The show from 19 to 22 September at Earls Court will have 440 exhibitors, and comes after Media 10 bought 100% Design from Reed Exhibitions in January.
The high-end, interiors design exhibition has been running for 15 years and was launched by an independent organiser before being acquired by Reed. It runs annually at Earls Court in September and attracted 18,852 visitors (ABC audited) in 2011.
“About 420-440 brands will exhibit their designs at this year’s 100% Design, which is an increase of 10 per cent on last year’s numbers,” said marketing manager Saul Leese.
“This is a significant achievement as there has been tighter regulation of the type and quality of products that go on show this year.”
William Knight takes up the 100% Design director role for this year’s show. He joins from his previous role as deputy director of the London Design Festival.
“In order to reinvigorate 100% Design, there needed to be a shift in industry perception by delivering a number of key messages about dramatic changes to the show’s quality and content through our PR and email campaign,” Leese added.
“Stronger partnerships with leading magazines and recognition for design bloggers have created a much stronger media message. Improved investment and design in the mobile app, now reaching 30,000 along with a well planned andexecuted social media campaign has all contributed to increased registrations.”
Exhibition organiser ITE Group has said revenues booked for the full year are eight per cent ahead on a like-for-like basis, despite more profitable shows running next year.
