Telegraph Media Group (TMG), publisher of The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph, The Telegraph and The Telegraph weekly world edition, has acquired a majority equity interest in VOS Media.

Damian Norman (pictured), MD of VOS Media, retains a minority equity stake in the organiser.

VOS Media produces the Ski & Snowboard Show, The Outdoors Show, The London Bike Show, The Active Travel Show, and The Vitality Show as well as publishing the Ski & Snowboard magazine.

Annually, VOS Media's shows attract more than 100,000 visitors.

Visitors were up 18 per cent at VOS Media’s outdoor shows held at Excel in January.

“I am delighted that we are adding VOS Media’s event expertise to the Telegraph portfolio. It is a natural extension for our brand, driving a new revenue stream,” said TMG executive director Dave King. “Our readers, advertisers and customers will be able to experience a wide range of shows across a number of events which will continue to bring greater value to a growing Telegraph audience.”

Norman said the deal sprung from a media partnership with Telegraph Media Group across its ski, outdoors and bike divisions, during which link-ups were identified.

“Having enjoyed a very successful media partnership, I look forward to growing our existing events, publishing and media portfolio, whilst expanding into further complimentary market sectors that support customers and clients of TMG,” he said.
