Confex organiser UBM Live is targeting a 20 per cent rise in meetings at its upcoming event.
The show from 19 to 21 March at Excel London, will have around 900 exhibiting companies and is co-located with the rebranded Live Experience show, formerly IOEX, and in a bid to strengthen its presence in the MICE industry, the organiser hopes to host 6,000 meetings at the event.
“The show can only showcase what the industry is doing,” said event director James Samuel. “But we want to look ahead too, with what the conference of 2020 will look like.”
The event is in its second edition at the east London venue, following its move from Earls Court in 2012.
Live Experience’s seminar programme will be presented in two theatres – the Live Experience Theatre and Brand Activation Arena.
The sports industry will be represented in the Live Experience Theatre with keynote speaker Piers Shepperd, director at Wonder Works and former technical director for the London 2012 opening ceremony, sharing his insights about ‘the greatest show on Earth’.
