The first B2B trade event at Glow, Bluewater has been hailed as a success by its organiser.
Castle Media hosted the Build It Tool Show and the consumer show Build It Live, with the two shows attracting more than 6,000 visitors.
The Build It Tool Show provided its visitors, who were predominately trade, with the opportunity to talk directly with major tool brands.
“We are delighted with the success of both Build It Live and the Build It Tool Show,” said Calum Taylor of Castle Media. “Levels of visitor and exhibitor satisfaction were exceptionally high, which was reflected in an onsite re-book of over 75 per cent.”
Castle Media is the publisher of Build It magazine.
“These two shows once again highlight how creative organisers can deliver engaging events that capitalise on Glow’s key strengths,” said Glow venue director Michael Watton. “Castle Media has delivered a fully integrated offer that brought their magazine to life at the very first attempt.”
On March 2-3, Glow welcomes its next new organiser, with Hallmark Antiques launching its first event with the Antiques, Vintage and Collectors show.
Exhibition organiser ITE Group has said revenues booked for the full year are eight per cent ahead on a like-for-like basis, despite more profitable shows running next year.
The Scottish Festivals and Events Association (SEFA), a new trade organisation, representing the interests of the nation's events and festivals industry, launched officially on 16 May.
