Tasty addition to Taste of the West

Hale Events is launching an exhibition for the food and food service industries in the south west in a bid to attract more national buyers to the region.

The company will run the Source Exhibition alongside the Taste of the West Trade Show, which it has organised for three years on behalf of members of the regional food and drink trade organisation, Taste of the West. The exhibition saw a 30 per cent increase in buyers this year.

Launching Source Exhibition alongside the Taste of the West Trade Show, will allow buyers to see and sample some of the region’s finest produce says show director Mike Anderson. “We want to retain the strength and identity of the Taste of the West brand, but also want to give buyers the opportunity to see other companies from the region. Running them together will provide a broader appeal for national buyers.”

The show, which will target retailers, food service and hospitality companies as well as public service providers such as schools and hospitals, will include cooking demonstrations, food and wine tasting and sample menu pricing structures. It takes place at Westpoint, Exeter from 19-20 April 2010.
