The MCM Expo Group will bring its Memorabilia Show back to London in 2011 as part of plans to expand the brand nationally.

The twice-annual collectors’ event has been running at NEC Birmingham every March and November since MCM acquired it in 2008. The show is aimed at giving fans of film, television and sporting access to memorabilia and personalities and will next be held in Birmingham on 20-21 November 2010.

The new one-day Memorabilia London event will also give attendees the chance to purchase collectables and get autographs signed by movie stars and TV personalities, as well as sporting legends in the show’s Sporting Memorabilia zone. The date and location of the 2011 event have not yet been confirmed.

The original London Memorabilia show was formerly held at Olympia but was discontinued several years before the MCM Expo Group took over.

MCM confirmed it would continue to run both Birmingham shows and flagged plans to expand Memorabilia at the NEC at the same time as building up London.

Alongside the Memorabilia franchise, the MCM Expo Group hosts the MCM Expo at London Excel and Telford International Centre and will extend the event to Manchester Central on 30 July 2011 for the first time. The company claims more than 100,000 visitors have attended one of its shows in the past 12 months.
