Clarion Events has announced the new Home tradeshow based in London for the homewares and interior accessories market.
The new exhibition will run in Earls Court 2 alongside Clarion’s existing Top Drawer event at Earls Court 1 from 15 to 17 January 2012. The organiser has brought on former 100% Design co-founder, Ian Rudge, to head up Home as well as a steering committee made up of retailers, manufacturers, distributors and press.
Clarion claimed Home will be the UK’s first dedicated show of UK and international suppliers of housewares, homewares and interior accessories. It will focus on lighting, small and occasional furniture, bathroom, kitchen, soft furnishings, tableware, glassware and garden accessories.
“Home fills a genuine gap in the market for a dynamic, distinctive London event dedicated exclusively to products for the home,” Rudge said. “Commercial and cleverly designed, Home is not another design event, it is an appealing trade exhibition for discriminating retailers looking for stylish, well-designed, modern and classic products at price points that make sense.”
Clarion will also significantly reinvest into its Top Drawer event to enhance and upgrade features. The show is divided into five core sections: fashion, gifts, greetings, children’s and wellbeing. A new show design is also being brought on-board to overhaul look and feel of each section to appeal to international exhibitors.
“The launch of Home, plus the enhancements and upgrades to Top Drawer, will deliver exactly what buyers and suppliers are asking for by creating the UK’s definitive and the most exciting buying centre for all homewares, gifts and accessories combining great design and commercial appeal,” Clarion retail portfolio director Neil Gaisford said. “I am overwhelmed by the positive response and support we have had for these developments and look forward to delivering the market something new,” he added.
Clarion announced this month it will extend its Baby Show into Manchester from 2011.
